Final Day of Brick Bashing!
The Basement had the most dust. It was all the soot and grout that had fallen down the chimney as we were disassembling it and had all piled up inside the chimney! The last 5 feet were full of crap! we had to shovel it out and the take the bricks down, and we didn't use a sledge hammer as we didn't want briks to fly and wreck the hot water tank and washer/drier! Tons of fun. I am glad it is over though. That was a mess!

Hi Jay and Sarah, These photos bring back memories of Cathy and me doing the same thing in our current house. We weren't as brave as you, though. We got a crew in to do it for us. How long do you think it'll take you to finish? Had you Mom and Dad over for dinner last night before they get away to Jamaica, mon. Should be a great trip and a great get away for them. We just spent a week in Costa Rica and love it. That's all for now. Hugs, Steve & Cathy.
ReplyDeleteWe hope to have the exterior done before next winter. All sealed up and good to go. The house entirely we figure two years. I bet your trip was fun. Keep in touch
ReplyDeleteYikes J, that does look messy. Good work with the porch too, sounds like you're getting lots done!
