The Beginning

Our journey starts with a 1920's house in the heart of downtown Revelstoke. This historical railroad community has recently been brought to life with the opening of the Revelstoke Mountain Resort. The resort at this time features a Gondola bringing you up to the prime snow, and two high speed quad chair lifts opening up a ton of terrain. This area has been used by cat skier and heli-skier for years and now with lift access this mountain will really get going.

The house we have chosen is a 1920's two level, with an unfinished basement. The finished square footage is 885 sq ft. on the main and 225 sq ft. on the second level. The second level consists of 2 small bedrooms, perfect for kids. It also includes a single car detached garage.

Our first project:

New Windows

For this work we have decided to go with a contractor as I have no idea what is involved in window replacement and it is not something you can afford to have leak two years down the road. We are replacing the old single paned stained glass windows with double paned, argon gas filled vinyl windows. The windows have been ordered and should be arriving within 6 weeks.

Second Project:

New kitchen layout

We are currently in the design stage of this and are open to ideas. Have a look at our proposed floor plans and let us know what you think of our ideas! We are taking down the chimney and the wall separating the kitchen from living room. We want an open floor plan for our living area.
